  • Overview

    Access Brand Communications is currently looking for an Account Executive to join our growing office. The ideal candidate should have solid media relations experience and either an interest or experience in integrated communications. We are looking for an individual that is not only passionate about emerging trends in the public relations space, but also highly motivated and able to meet deadlines. This position requires strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact with clients, third-party vendors, media and account teams.


    • Act as primary media contact, play key role in developing and implementing media strategies
    • Be creative and strategic in the development of programs and pitch angles designed to garner media attention
    • Secure high-profile coverage in national and local consumer outlets 
    • Work with media including proactive pitching and relationship management
    • Demonstrate ability to effectively develop full range of written materials including pitches, press releases, byline articles, briefing sheets, client correspondence and reports
    • Be a hands-on team player adding value, sharing creative ideas, and leveraging media attention as appropriate
    • Develop strategic recommendations with an eye on earned media goals
    • Confidence in working with and accompanying C-suite level clients to media interviews, manage their appearances and contribute appropriately
    • Conduct satellite media tours and editorial desk side briefings between clients and journalists in key media markets; knowledge of TV, radio, and print outlets as well as some knowledge about paid media costs
    • Drive effective implementation of projects, identify appropriate resources, and delegate work appropriately
    • Identify and analyze trends within the corporate, consumer lifestyle and cultural media landscape, sharing them team and recommending pivot strategies for clients based on these trends

    • Passion for learning;
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
    • Exposure to influencer marketing and media relations, consumer and/or corporate media preferred;
    • 2 to 3 years PR agency experience
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Superior written/oral communications skills
    • Hands-on client interaction/service experience
    • Heavy media relations background, consumer contacts a plus
    • Exposure to paid media and brand sponsorships a plus
