Overview

Access is currently looking for an Assistant Account Executive to join our growing New York office. The ideal candidate should have an interest in both consumer and technology public relations. The ideal candidate should have experience completing tactical duties as part of day-to-day account activity, pitching and achieving editorial placements, assisting with event/tour logistics and production of collateral materials.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and write media materials such as press releases, fact sheets, media lists, byline articles, client correspondence, speeches, blogs, social media content and reports
  • Manage media relations: creatively pitching, building relationships with reports and media contacts, securing coverage
  • Manage event planning logistics: vendor management, project management, managing timelines
  • Assist with developing tactics and elements for new business opportunities and presentations
  • Play a key role in media events, briefings, and program implementation

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years PR agency experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or a related field
  • Strong organizational skills: ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines
  • Superior written/oral communications skills
