Access Brand Communications is currently looking for a Media Relations Specialist to join our growing technology team. We're looking for someone who has experience developing smart and compelling pitch content for top-tier business and technology publications and outlets.  You’ll be responsible for creating big strategic ideas, as well as thinking through media strategy and execution for well known, recognizable technology brands. 

 

If you’re enthusiastic about working with interesting clients (bonus points if you are a lover of emerging technology) with a dynamic account management team, we would love to see your resume if you have the following qualifications:

  • Agency experience
  • Proven understanding of print, broadcast and social media
  • Interest and/or experience working with influencers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong media relations skills/contacts
  • Experience driving timelines and projects forward

About the job

  • Act as primary client contact; continually foster client-agency relationship to build trust and become a valuable resource to client
  • Plan and run media relations programs; identify media contacts, build relationships and secure coverage
  • Continually build understanding and knowledge of clients’ business and competitive environments; apply this information in preparing and presenting strategically focused programs and recommendation
  • Demonstrate ability to effectively develop full range of written materials including press releases, byline articles, speeches, client correspondence and summaries
  • Explore and create opportunities for media-driven incremental business growth within your clients’ organizations
  • Participate in the research, writing, and play the role of media expert in new business proposals and presentations

Qualifications

  • BA/BS; 4+ PR agency experience
  • Deep professional and personal experience in emerging media, with a clear understanding how to apply tools and technology to client work
  • Experience in media outreach to secure media placements for clients/brands
  • Strong editorial contacts
  • Excellent presentation and strategic planning skills
  • Superior written/oral communications skills
  • Ability to translate trends, technologies and metrics into conversational English
  • Experienced client counselor, relationship manager and account manager
