Overview

 

Access Brand Communications is a public relations agency looking for a creative thinker to help develop sharp creative campaigns, built on human insights, and to strategically guide and develop ideas. This Creative Planner will help lead the creative planning process for our consumer clients and drive the agency’s proprietary planning process to help generate, develop and sell-in insight-based ideas for accounts and new business opportunities.

 

Our ideal candidate has experience counseling clients, has built a reputation for great creative PR ideas, and is confident to independently present, adjust and ultimately sell during integrated agency meetings.

About the job

 

  • Drive and own the process to generate and sell-in creative campaigns, actionable and unique strategies and ideas, while demonstrating in-depth knowledge of client’s business and its target audiences
  • Present and sell creative campaigns and tactical ideas to agency partners and clients
  • Maintain collaborative relationships with multiple clients and agency partners, representing a variety of internal divisions (e.g., PR, marketing, research and measurement, social media, etc.)
  • Creatively troubleshoot challenges as they arise; seek senior manager input and apply agency resources as appropriate
  • Utilize research to develop insights to help drive strategic creative programming
  • Develop creative briefs for ideation sessions; lead brainstorm sessions for client opportunities; develop, vet and refine PR ideas generated in brainstorm sessions
  • Collaborate with account team to identify growth opportunities with clients
  • Participate in value-added ideation sessions for client
  • Partner with our analytics experts to ground insights in data
  • Act as ambassador for and utilize Access proprietary campaign development process
  • Develop creative campaigns and ideas as part of new business pitches; participate in presentations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • Six to eight years of agency (PR, advertising, digital, etc.) and/or corporate communications experience (PR experience is preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to conceive, defend, and sell great creative ideas
  • Brand marketing background with balance of traditional and digital/social experience
  • Ability to lead and adapt to changing priorities
  • Experience in analyzing and making use of research to develop and frame human insights
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit 
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, agency partners, colleagues and vendors
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills; persuasive presenter and great listener; strong negotiation and diplomacy skills
