Access Brand Communications is looking for a post-graduate Administrative & Human Resources intern to join our New York HR team. This intern will spend a majority of their time supporting the HR team and part time supporting the broader New York team with light, ad-hoc office and team support responsibilities. 


We're looking for someone with an interest in HR, recruiting and fostering a positive employee experience for our staff. The ideal candidate is proactive and willing to help with a variety of tasks to support our HR and NY team. This is a great entry-level opportunity for a candidate looking to expand their resume with a fast-paced agency office internship and work in a role with variety and impact. 

About the job

This internship will start in January 2021, is 35 hours/week (5 days/week, 7-hour days), and is 3 months in length with the opportunity of extension up to 6 months and full-time opportunities.


Like the rest of our agency, this intern will work from home until we officially reopen our office. While the role will remain flexible to work from home once the office is reopened, this role will require some in-office days to support the office on-the-ground.


HR Support

  • Manage new hire orientation and onboarding coordination
  • Assist in the recruiting process: post jobs, candidate correspondence, coordinate candidate interviews, draft documents
  • Partner with HR team to coordinate trainings and learnig moments for staff
  • Employee departure coordination and logistics
  • Assist HR team in performance review, career development, and employee engagement moments and processes
  • Draft talent programs, communications and documents
  • Maintain HR self-service SharePoint site

Office & Team Support

  • Research and book travel for team members and attendees; liaise with travel agency
  • Prepare and manage expense reports
  • Maintain tracking spreadsheets; create internal and client reports
  • Assist team with event planning and logistics
  • Liaise with building management
  • Proactively manage office space, supplies and conference rooms


  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, psychology or related field or equivalent work experience
  • Experience with administrative office responsibilities such as scheduling and coordinating
  • Proven ability to successfully manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Previous internships a plus, but not required
