    Access Brand Communications is looking for an Assistant Account Executive to join our vibrant San Francisco office. Our ideal candidate would be fearless when it comes to pitching media both in the corporate and tech space. Having an interest or experience in corporate communications, brand building and integrated communications would be a huge plus. We are looking for an energetic individual that is eager to get hands-on-experience working with fast-paced teams and is highly motivated and deadline oriented. This position requires strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact with clients, third-party vendors, media and account teams.

    About the job

    • Act as a strong resource for the team and continually foster the client-agency relationship to build trust and become a valuable resource to clients
    • Continually build understanding and knowledge of the clients' business and industry; apply this knowledge in preparing and presenting strategic programs and recommendations
    • Support the client and internal teams on trade activations, corporate and executive visibility work, thought leadership, media relations and narrative development  
    • Conduct media outreach and build and foster relationships with key media
    • Manage media events, execute programs, and manage vendor relationships on behalf of the team
    • Be flexible and facilitate collaboration within the account team; coordinate team resources and create opportunities for junior staff to take on more responsibility
    • Demonstrate ability to effectively develop full range of written materials including pitches, press releases, byline articles, speeches, briefing sheets, client correspondence and reports
    • Verify information to ensure accuracy of media materials and contacts; maintain and create media lists
    • Prioritize assignments and meet deadlines, actively communicate progress and deliverables
    • Proactively offer creative and interesting ideas for the client and implement new ways to meet client needs
    • Actively contribute to the development of PR plans
    • Execute and implement plans
    • Take advantage of internal and external networking opportunities to enhance professional development and agency/office visibility


    • One full year of PR agency experience
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Superior written/oral communications skills
    • Hands-on client interaction/service experience
    • Heavy media relations background, business and trade press contacts a plus
